Air Quality Engineering

Air Quality Engineering was organized as Smokemaster, Inc. in 1973 emphasizing design, development and sales of air filtration systems for tobacco smoke removal.

In 1974 we marked the beginning of their relationship with Honeywell when they agreed to produce commercial air cleaners for this major manufacturer, an agreement that would last 10 years. Shortly thereafter they also began offering industrial air filtration system design and production services to Honeywell.

In 1984 Honeywell’s decision to manufacture their own commercial air cleaners provided AQE with the opportunity to develop Air Quality Engineering own worldwide commercial marketing organization. Simultaneously, they purchased Honeywell’s industrial air cleaner business and became an important competitor in the air cleaner market. At this time it was clear that a new and more comprehensive name would better reflect they broader product range and they became Air Quality Engineering in 1984.

Their electronic air cleaners offer all modular solid-state components. All of their equipment is designed for low maintenance, energy efficiency and optimal collection efficiency.
